Yes, I do this in real life, and yes, I don’t know why people think I’m crazy….

    I like this one :P

    Thanks! :)

I don’t know why people think you’re crazy either. That is an awesome party conversation topic! I could easily see it spiraling into in-depth analysis of chip:dip ratios.

  4. stupidinventor

@berickcook hahaha! I would have an equation for chip:dip ratios too except I usually don’t dip because I’m afraid somebody else double dipped… :(

actually Mythbusters proved that double dipping hardly transfers any germs.
“The act of double dipping is the equivalent of putting the microbes in your mouth into the dip as if all of the dip were put in your mouth.
    BUSTED
In their experiment, the MythBusters used chips with regular dip and salsa. In the control test, they put the untouched dip and salsa into petri dishes, and followed with double dipped dip and salsa, and finally dip and salsa that had been put in Adam and Jamie’s mouths. However, when they examined their results, they found that the dip and salsa were already loaded with microbes. For a more accurate experiment, the MythBusters were forced to sterilize all their testing materials with radiation and create a sterile environment. Examining the results, the MythBusters found that double dipping produced less microbes than putting all the dip in your mouth. Also, the amount of microbes present after double dipping was negligible compared to the amount found in regular dip.” – (Mythbusters)

hahahaha I actually saw that episode! (and saw the episode of Seinfeld they were basing it on.)
    I watched the whole episode.
    Listened to the science.
    Saw there were no germs.
Yet I’m still totally grossed out and won’t go for the double dip… lol

So, a party where everybody gives you a 1 is a 20% success?

    • stupidinventor

Yes, I mean if it goes really horrible (yelling or crying) than I guess the interaction gets a zero, but otherwise the usual failed attempt at being friendly is still considered a small success…. I actually left my computer and went outside my house and talked to people! (That at least deserves 20%, :D )
